"Holidays" teaches us how difficult it is to make a successful anthology, for even though it boasts a decent collection of talented filmmakers, none of them really seem to know how these kinds of movies work...or how short films work...or even how the horror genre works...

"Yes, Madam"- the starring debut of both Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock- is an acquired taste, as its flaws and eccentricities might be a little overbearing for you. But if you can get past that bitterness, enjoy the sweetness of the action choreography.
  3. “Halloween II (1981)” movie review.

I've always had a...complex and unstable relationship with (the original) "Halloween 2". Depending on my mood, I will view the movie as a solid slasher and a worthy followup to "Halloween"- a classic within the genre. But the cynic in me will also notice that "Halloween 2" foreshadows a problem that would ultimately ruin the franchise (for me).
  4. “Terror Train (1980)” movie review.

"Terror Train" might be another slasher of the early 80's, but it's not JUST another slasher of the early 80's. It has some good twists, a strong cast and favors suspense over gore. It's not likely going to end up on anyone's top 10 favorite slashers list thanks to some migraine inducing flaws, but I liked it.
