I can see many viewers calling "Maniac" boring and I wouldn't blame them. But I thought the filmmakers did a masterful job at creating a never-ending feeling of unease thanks to the atmosphere and amazing performance by Joe Spinell- who is adorable and terrifying at once.

"Terror Train" might be another slasher of the early 80's, but it's not JUST another slasher of the early 80's. It has some good twists, a strong cast and favors suspense over gore. It's not likely going to end up on anyone's top 10 favorite slashers list thanks to some migraine inducing flaws, but I liked it.

"Return to the 36th Chamber" might lack the golden reputation of its predecessor, but I personally preferred it thanks to the goofy tone, the amazing martial arts choreography, the creative gimmicks and the fact that 80% of the screentime isn't an exhausting training montage.

“Don't Answer the Phone!” is a bad movie. It's a really bad movie, but it's almost enjoyable in the same way that “Blood Feast” and “Troll 2” are. You just can't help laughing at it and I suppose some entertainment value is better than a bore-fest. But children, remember that the key word is 'almost'.
