1. “Riot (2015)” movie review.

"Riot" is bad, but not THAT bad and might even provide some surface level entertainment for a handful of viewers. Even though I was mentally acknowledging its army of failures, I never became bored, annoyed or angry. I was just very, very indifferent.

When I first heard about "Skin Trade", my immediate thought was: "Is this a step up for Dolph Lundgren? Or a step down for Tony Jaa"?. Nevertheless, I was intrigued to see the two martial artists collide and my mouth began to water as the cast expanded. Ron Perlman, Peter Weller and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa are awesome enough as it is, but Michael Jai White too? I'm...I'm pretty sure I just came a little...

"Battle of the Damned" didn't jump over any sharks, it jumped ON the shark and rode it all the way to zombie land and it was AWESOME. What's more unusual than putting Dolph Lundgren in a zombie scenario? How about throwing robots into the mix for absolutely no reason? That just...transcends quality and automatically makes "Battle of the Damned" the best movie of all time.

“In the Name of the King 2” is bad, but much like its predecessor, it’s just generically bad. It’s what I expect out of a direct-to-DVD, low budgeted sequel to a movie that wasn’t even good to begin with- regardless of Uwe Boll’s involvement. If anything, Dolph Lundgren’s surreal performance was sometimes entertaining…But the key word is 'sometimes'. Usually I was just kind of bored.

"Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning" is insane. Yeah, I know I've said that about movies before, but I was being liberal with that definition. I had just meant past films were wild and chaotic. "Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning" is less the 'wild and chaotic' version of insanity, and more the...'it cuts off its penis and presents it to you as a gift' kind of insane.
  6. “The Russian Specialist (2005)” movie review.

It seems to me that Dolph's films suffer from their attempts at evoking emotion from us. He forces in subplots with romance, familial bonding or drama. He needs to stick to what he's best at: beating the unholy hell out of people. "The Russian Specialist" is your typical Lundgren movie. It strikes a balance of good, bad and mediocre.
