1. GEMGET! Something I made a bit ago

On occasion I get the urge to make stuff, and then I get distracted leaving yet another half finished project to rot. GEMGET! Was almost one of them, well actually for a while it was. I originally started making it around 6 months ago, but rather than getting bored I hit the point where art is needed, and for me that's a bit of a brick wall. I can do the art stuff, just I don't really enjoy it - not to mention being overly critical of my own work resulting in repeated remakes of the same sprites over & over again...
  2. Dead Space: Downfall

Dead Space was a fantastic game, and the first that in my opinion, managed to make you feel alone. However they left you wondering what exactly happened before you arrived. Prior to Dead Space: Extraction's release you had a choice - either read what was on the net, or pick up this film. Personally, I wasn't into the idea of fan made wikis especially that early in the game's life, so I went the route of getting the film.
  3. Quick rant – “pro gay” companies

This is going to be extremely short, and incredibly to the point - but fuck you to the whole [insert company] is pro gay shit. I'm not gay, hell I'm extremely not gay but that doesn't mean I don't get pissed off at this.
  4. How High

It's been years since I last saw this so when I saw it the nostalgia goggles attacked & reminded me that I found it amusing back then. Then again I was baked so anything would've been funny at the time, but is it funny a decade later?
  5. Sometimes one of you is more than enough

So basically I made a competition on the Toribash forums a while ago, Donseluke got banned & I figured it'd be fun for the community to draw pictures of it. Being the great admin ninja I am, when it came to handing out the results I had a spark of genius... Or at least I think that's what it was. :/
  6. Bunraku – finally a film that lives up to the quotes on the box

Wow, just... Wow. I don't mean that sarcastically either, which is quite the departure for me. When I see things like "BY FAR THE BEST FILM I'VE SEEN ALL YEAR", "A FEAST FOR THE EYES" and "BEYOND BRILLIANT" in bold capitals it's normally a sign that the DVD will be spending a lot of time sitting on the shelf before it's watched again. This wasn't the case here...
  7. Captain America: The First Avenger, it’s not so great…

I really wanted to like this film, instead it's just disappointing. So much potential wasted, and the sickening thing is they mock you with montages of the bits you wanted to see. Captain America vs. Nazis with weapons powered by an artefact belonging to Odin, oh and their leader has a red skull for a head - How could they possibly get that wrong?
  8. Clueless, a somewhat guilty pleasure

Oh Alicia the things I would do to you... I could quite happily end there & fill the page with images of her, but then I'd miss the chance to fanwank over the glory that is this film. It reeks of 90's in every way, and we all know the 90's were awesome... Well unless you were a kid, in which case you really missed out. It's funny to think that after all these years I still have the same dress sense; then again I still have the same taste in games, right down to preferring the consoles over my modern ones.
  9. Thor gets disrespected

Since this follows on directly after Iron Man 2 I figured it made sense to get it out the way now. I don't mean that in an "it sucks" way, but... Umm... Well while it's not a bad film, it falls short of what it could've been.
  10. Iron Man, Iron Man… Does whatever an iron can?

The Iron Man films didn't interest me initially, the same can be said for The Incredible Hulk which is still absent from my collection. However due to recent super hero movies catching my attention & them leading towards The Avengers it was time to gather the full set in preparation. Thankfully for my wallet both the Iron Man films are bargain bin fodder these days & the pair cost less than a single new release.
