By this point, the "found footage" brand of horror has become redundant. It's like sinking your teeth into your favorite kind of bread, only to discover it's a little stale. It's still edible, but the snack has become joyless
"Sinister" doesn't push any boundaries, nor will it rejuvenate horror movies. But it is one of the better examples of its kind and if every ghost-thriller was this good, I wouldn't be complaining about how similar they are.
