1. “Dead Sushi (2012)” movie review.

    If Orson Welles was alive today and he saw "Dead Sushi", he would hang his head in shame. For all of his accomplishments in story-telling and technical innovations, he never understood the importance of 'fire-breathing, killer mutant zombie sushi' in a dramatic narrative. But to be fair, "Dead Sushi" is the greatest movie of all time, so maybe I shouldn't expect as much from lesser directors.

    It’s amusing how I began my journey with “Ninja Girl” expecting to judge it as a Rina Takeda ("High-Kick Girl") movie, but instead began to view it as a Seiji Chiba ("Alien Vs Ninja") flick, which just happened to star Rina Takeda. Maybe that’s for the better because as a Rina Takeda feature, I was disappointed. But as a Seiji Chiba feature...
  3. “Karate Girl (2011)” movie review.

    But if "High Kick Girl" only existed to show how awesome Rina Takeda is, "Karate Girl" actually tried to expand its horizons and be a legitimate movie. Does it succeed? Spoiler alert, no. But I kind of liked the film anyway.
