"Pound of Flesh"- starring Jean-Claude Van Damme- wasn't a very good movie...It's not terrible though, even occasionally offering a good piece in a mostly subpar puzzle. I'd say that the arc of this review is: "It could've been better...".

"Dragon Eyes" wasn't very well received by those who bothered watching it and I can certainly see why. The script is a mess, Cung Le can't act, Van Damme is underutilized, the visual style is unappealing and the ending is terrible, but...I saw effort. I felt like the filmmakers were trying their hardest to deliver an engaging story and have a unique look, but it just wasn't working out. I respect that, although I'll also admit that the abundance of pretty cool fight scenes allowed me to admire its strengths without getting bored.

Yet much to my surprise, “Second in Command” turned out to be a thoroughly entertaining action flick. It’s certainly not one of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s stronger efforts, but its breezy pace and seemingly unlimited amount of explosions warmed my heart.

"Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning" is insane. Yeah, I know I've said that about movies before, but I was being liberal with that definition. I had just meant past films were wild and chaotic. "Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning" is less the 'wild and chaotic' version of insanity, and more the...'it cuts off its penis and presents it to you as a gift' kind of insane.
  5. “6 Bullets (2012)” movie review.

"6 Bullets" pretty much answers the question of: "What if "Taken" starred Jean-Claude Van Damme and had balls?". I'm still trying to decide if "6 Bullets" is an exceptional film, or maybe "Taken" just fooled me into thinking it's better than it was, because most of the comparisons are in favor for this movie.
