1. “Battle of the Damned (2013)” movie review.

"Battle of the Damned" didn't jump over any sharks, it jumped ON the shark and rode it all the way to zombie land and it was AWESOME. What's more unusual than putting Dolph Lundgren in a zombie scenario? How about throwing robots into the mix for absolutely no reason? That just...transcends quality and automatically makes "Battle of the Damned" the best movie of all time.

“Perkins’ 14” is too absurd to take seriously, but too bleak to be entertaining. Yet sometimes- and I stress sometimes- the film strikes gold. But then again, sometimes that gold turns out to be feces…metaphorical feces…there isn’t any actual feces in this movie...so...yeah...

The movie took a simple, maybe even predictable concept and somehow delivered an intense, startling and even scary genre film. It's greatness was even sometimes captured in the pointless remake, “Quarantine”. I've grown to believe that the title works against the movie. Whenever I try to explain it to people, I sound really stupid because you have to explain the title when you say it. Anyway, “[REC 2]” got fans excited, but I was weary. It was the execution of the material that made the first film so riveting, not the idea. Ultimately, the film was sometimes effective and it tried to do something different. But I'm really not sure if it worked...
