Everything about "Insidious: Chapter 2" felt unnecessary from its conception and now that I've witnessed the film, I still believe it was unnecessary. But at the same time...I can't deny that I enjoyed myself.

“The Last Winter (2006)” movie review.

When "The Last Winter" works, it really is a very moody, spooky little thriller. The ambiance, the ambitious cinematography, haunting imagery and the strange performances brought some chills down my spine, making me want to love this. Unfortunately, for every kiss it gave me, it also had the tendency to knee me in the groin and I don't find that to be a very erotic experience. When it fails, "The Last Winter" is...bad. Sometimes even very bad.

"Riddick" is filled with flaws, ranging from silly dialogue to awkward acting to subpar CGI to a busted up narrative, but none of that never stops it from being entertaining.

During my viewing, my opinions were constantly at war with each-other. Was I watching a bad movie that happened to have flashes of brilliance? Or a good movie which was making some severe missteps? After it was over, I pondered as to what I had just watched. Then I pondered some more. After hours of tearing my imaginary hair out in frustrated contemplation, I came to my conclusion. "You're Next" just wasn't worth stressing out over. It's not a very good movie, in spite of what the critics AND itself seems to think.

“El Gringo (2012)” movie review.

I HATED “El Gringo”. It is one of those special films where everything is so obnoxious that it becomes unnecessary to criticize the braindead love story, the clichéd plot twists, the Mexican stereotypes and the unoriginal story…because there is SO much more to hate about this movie. Scott Adkins, I do still love you, but this sucked.

The main problem with “Mama” though is that in terms of story, it’s the same old shit that we’ve seen in every other paranormal flick out there. The only parts which leave an impression- the weird attempts at humor and the sudden transition from horror to fantasy- only stand out because they don't work.

The characters kept my attention, the story was fairly unique compared to most 70's kung fu flicks and there's a lot of action which happens to be very well choreographed, so why wouldn't I adore "The Kid with the Golden Arm"?

“Shaun of the Dead” is just awesome. It works as a zombie film, it works as a parody of zombie films and even if you’re not a fan of the genre, it just happens to be a funny comedy in general.

“The Men Who Tread on the Tiger’s Tail (1945)” movie review.

"The Men Who Tread on the Tiger’s Tail” is an interesting subversion of the Samurai genre, but it also shows that not everything Akira Kurosawa touched turned into gold. It’s a decent film, but it lacks substantial material.
