Now, if you are a fan of "The Raid: Redemption", or you're one of its few detractors, I want you to throw all those feelings out when approaching the sequel. Because even though "The Raid 2" has the title and some of the same characters and a hard-on for gory fight sequences, they are VASTLY different movies.
  2. “The Prowler (1981)” movie review.

“The Prowler” is at its core, just another slasher flick from the 80’s. Fans of the genre will embrace the awesome gore effects, while detractors will condemn the nonsensical plot. If anything stands out, it’s that this example is more violent AND more nonsensical than the average slasher.
  3. “I Spit on Your Grave 2 (2013)” movie review.

“I Spit on Your Grave 2” might take place in a different country and might have made a few changes to the formula, but once again, it’s just a lot of raping and a lot of torturing. Eventually you’re doomed to become desensitized to the brutality and when that happens, the movie just becomes sort of boring…and I got used to it during the first 30 minutes…
  4. “6 Bullets (2012)” movie review.

"6 Bullets" pretty much answers the question of: "What if "Taken" starred Jean-Claude Van Damme and had balls?". I'm still trying to decide if "6 Bullets" is an exceptional film, or maybe "Taken" just fooled me into thinking it's better than it was, because most of the comparisons are in favor for this movie.
  5. “The Man with the Iron Fists (2012)” movie review.

You can practically see the fanboyish glee dripping from every frame, but RZA and Roth let their enthusiasm derail the project. Maybe they should've spent more time smoothing out the script instead of spending countless hours designing the weapons. Luckily, all I require to enjoy myself is violence, kung fu and naked women. "The Man with the Iron Fists" gave me all three.
  6. “Dredd (2012)” movie review.

In general, "Dredd" is a matter of taste. If the idea of a killing machine (and his rookie partner) plowing through criminals using guns, explosives, fists, psychic powers (!!) and other bizarre weapons sounds intriguing to you, "Dredd" is your movie. Guess what? Just typing that gave me an erection, so this is obviously my kind of joint.
