“I Spit on Your Grave 2” might take place in a different country and might have made a few changes to the formula, but once again, it’s just a lot of raping and a lot of torturing. Eventually you’re doomed to become desensitized to the brutality and when that happens, the movie just becomes sort of boring…and I got used to it during the first 30 minutes…
  2. “The Lords of Salem (2012)” movie review.

"The Lords of Salem" is either an incomprehensible- but aesthetically attractive- mess which drowns under its own madness, or it's a haunting masterpiece- albeit a flawed one- which manages to drown its audience under its own madness...but in a good way? The arthouse touches, creative scare tactics, spooky sound design and surreal imagery all worked in unison to give me chills. But it is very strange and it has the tendency to be just as alienating as it is mesmerizing.
  3. “The Last Winter (2006)” movie review.

When "The Last Winter" works, it really is a very moody, spooky little thriller. The ambiance, the ambitious cinematography, haunting imagery and the strange performances brought some chills down my spine, making me want to love this. Unfortunately, for every kiss it gave me, it also had the tendency to knee me in the groin and I don't find that to be a very erotic experience. When it fails, "The Last Winter" is...bad. Sometimes even very bad.
  4. “When a Stranger Calls (2006)” movie review.

The biggest criticism regarding “When a Stranger Calls (2006)” is that it feels like a 30 minute short that was stretched into a 90 minute feature. There just isn’t enough available material to do a movie about a babysitter receiving creepy phone calls. It gets old rather quickly.
