    If there was ever a horror movie that could be called the cinematic equivalent of fast food, "Lights Out" would be a fat, juicy cheeseburger. You savor every delicious morsel as you consume it, but afterwards you're self conscious about what you just allowed into your body.

    "Deliver us From Evil" doesn't contain a single original idea, other than maybe making Joel McHale into a bad-ass, but it takes those familiar possession concepts and blends them with the clichés of a gritty police drama. This mating of genres is fairy unique and it helps that they have chemistry together, making the film seem more original than it really is.

    "23:59" has a strong first act, shrouding itself in mystery, a chillingly foreboding atmosphere and creepy scares. Unfortunately, its initial success only makes the rest of the movie suck that much harder. Even though I adore military themed horror flicks, this ghost-thriller is a casualty of war.
