If there was ever a horror movie that could be called the cinematic equivalent of fast food, "Lights Out" would be a fat, juicy cheeseburger. You savor every delicious morsel as you consume it, but afterwards you're self conscious about what you just allowed into your body.

"The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death" wasn't a good idea to begin with and the final product confirmed my initial suspicions. It's thinner in story, scares and even the originally impressive Marsh no longer seems very impressive.

“Deliver Us From Evil (2014)” movie review

"Deliver us From Evil" doesn't contain a single original idea, other than maybe making Joel McHale into a bad-ass, but it takes those familiar possession concepts and blends them with the clichés of a gritty police drama. This mating of genres is fairy unique and it helps that they have chemistry together, making the film seem more original than it really is.

“23:59 (2011)” movie review.

"23:59" has a strong first act, shrouding itself in mystery, a chillingly foreboding atmosphere and creepy scares. Unfortunately, its initial success only makes the rest of the movie suck that much harder. Even though I adore military themed horror flicks, this ghost-thriller is a casualty of war.
