1. “Perkins’ 14 (2009)” movie review.

“Perkins’ 14” is too absurd to take seriously, but too bleak to be entertaining. Yet sometimes- and I stress sometimes- the film strikes gold. But then again, sometimes that gold turns out to be feces…metaphorical feces…there isn’t any actual feces in this movie...so...yeah...

"Dark Skies" isn't a disaster. I almost wish it was, because then I would've at least felt...something about it. This is not a bad movie, but all of its successes tie in too closely with its failures, dragging the feature down into the deep pits of "meh".

“Identity” is definitely a strong film, a must see for fans of horror, thrillers or mysteries. But something about it keeps it from reaching perfection. So lets dig out our Sherlock Holmes outfits, peer into the iconic magnifying glass and deduce what makes it so good/flawed.
  4. “The Ward (2010)” movie review.

“The Ward” was supposed to be John Carpenters' big comeback, a small horror/thriller that would be a return to his roots. Unfortunately, it was a bittersweet experience as you can see the Carpenter of old occasionally returning, only to be undermined by sloppy writing and questionable direction. “The Ward” isn't bad, but it's not very good either.
  5. “Ninja’s Creed (2009)” movie review.

I've seen plenty of bad movies in my time. In fact, I like to describe myself as a cinemasochist. Yet nothing could prepare me for “Ninja's Creed”, a film so insanely bad that the mere thought of its existence sends a shiver down my spine.
  6. “Julia’s Eyes (2010)” movie review.

This is a difficult feature to review, because part of me wants to praise its ambitions. "Julia's Eyes" wants to be 'more' than just a thriller and indeed, it is a much fuller experience than most of its ilk. It can be tear jerking and heart warming, along with being edgy and frightening. Yet it also sort of collapses under its own weight.
