Whether I stamp my seal of approval on "Ragnarok" or not, you should consider the possibility that your own definition of 'family friendly' might not coincide with the opinions of Norway, netflix or myself. I was surprised at how scary this monster flick could be, but I can't embrace it as a definite success thanks to its reliance on obnoxious cliches.

“Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla II” is an exciting, enjoyable and well-crafted monster movie…and yet it’s still one of my least favorite Godzilla flicks of the 90’s. But that just goes to show how good the decade was to the franchise…well, if we pretend 1998 didn’t exist…

When I read the premise, I immediately became intrigued. A monster-kitty starts eating criminals on a yacht? Hell yeah! Of course, any film buff knows that the cooler the premise, the stupider the movie. Did "Uninvited" fall victim to this? Yes, but it's FREAKING AWESOME for it. Okay, maybe I'm getting a little too excited. It's not 'freaking awesome' as much as it's 'freaking tolerable' because of the badness.

While I enjoyed the attacks and supernatural elements, it was watching the characters interact that kept me invested. But what do you expect? That is bound to happen when your movie stars Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Telly Savalas and a crapload of other talented actors. Plus, it takes place on a freaking train!
