“Saw 3” works better as a continuation or even a conclusion to “Saw” and “Saw 2” than as its own entity, even though its predecessors succeeded as individual movies. But for all its flaws, “Saw 3” attempts to satisfy its target audience on more levels than just bloodshed- even though there is plenty of that as well.

“I Spit on Your Grave 2” might take place in a different country and might have made a few changes to the formula, but once again, it’s just a lot of raping and a lot of torturing. Eventually you’re doomed to become desensitized to the brutality and when that happens, the movie just becomes sort of boring…and I got used to it during the first 30 minutes…
  3. “Dead Sushi (2012)” movie review.

If Orson Welles was alive today and he saw "Dead Sushi", he would hang his head in shame. For all of his accomplishments in story-telling and technical innovations, he never understood the importance of 'fire-breathing, killer mutant zombie sushi' in a dramatic narrative. But to be fair, "Dead Sushi" is the greatest movie of all time, so maybe I shouldn't expect as much from lesser directors.
